The Pioneer Branch of the National League of American Pen Women is proud to announce the winning entries of the Pen Us an Awesome Tale Contest. Thank you for each and every entry made to this contest.

 

All of the entries were of the highest quality, which made judging fun, yet difficult. We were swept away by so many adventures, including time travel, tales of boating and creative coping measures during a time of pestilence. Multiple genres were received including Horror, Western, Romance, Paranormal Romance, Mystery, Suspense, Historical Fiction, Humor, Young Adult and Creative Non-Fiction.

 

The four monetary winners, selected for their Excellence, are:

Opening Doors by Kimberly Vernon

Uncovering the Ozarks Secret by Gary Rodgers

Scary Scarab by Lisbeth L. McCarty

 

Each will be mailed a check for $25 and a Certificate of Excellence. Please send us a picture of you with your certificate for inclusion on our website. Instructions for sending the photograph will come with your certificate.

All proceeds of the contest benefit the Arkansas Writers’ Conference, which will be held on June 4, 2022 at the Hilton Garden Inn in North Little Rock.
